The 2023 Friday Night Event was amazing, but we can definitely top it for 2024! Three Bird Café will be back with incredibly delicious locally catered food. Our speaker this year is Ann Weaver from Plied Yarns, who has traveled here from Maryland to speak about "Textiles with a Past: Creative Mending and Reuse" along with some insights from her jouney with Plied Yarns. Attendees will receive a jumbo tote bag with goodies from our vendors, catered food, and attendance to Ann Weaver's presentation. There will also be DOOR PRIZES just for the paid attendees! All this will take place in the NEW Highlander Room, that is recently rennovated!
Schedule of Events:
Friday, March 15th
9am-6pm - Vendor Marketplace open
6pm - Food is served in the Highlander Room, Door Prizes drawn
6:30pm - Presentation begins
8pm - Festival closes for the evening
Presentation Description: "Sometimes the coolest stuff is the stuff you have, or the stuff that's waiting for you by the side of the road or at the nearest yard sale. In this talk, Ann will present examples of her mended and upcycled creations, and she'll share ideas and techniques she uses to repair and transform garments and create quilts from unconventional textiles. You'll look at knitwear with holes and fabric with stains in a totally new way!"
